14d agoThe game shuffles what map you play entirely randomly so you can end up playing the same one over and over if things just roll like that.

14d agoWarcraft 3's one of the best RTS games of all time, and the current team is trying Really Hard, even brought on a lot of proficient community members for Forsaken Kingdom's development.
14d agoYeag, like, it's Absolutely a cool idea, but it really doesn't work for anyone new getting in.
14d agoThere's no real way to properly build up into it even if you want to go linearly through the story of the previous expansions either. You Can't start before Cataclysm outside of Classic, and timewalking doesn't properly take you through the narrative.
14d agoClassic didn't exactly have like. Not World Ending Stakes, you still kill old gods in classic WoW, but they've kinda escalated the player character into a position that's very hard to get invested in as a new player.
14d agoI never played WoW when it came out, but like, honestly I think the clunk kinda serves the game better than the modern game's smooth transition straight into everyone treating you like Jesus.

14d agoI feel like the idea of him having the weakest healing because he has theoretically endless uptime on it is interesting, but just. The numbers feel Really Low without much to proactively keep someone up.
